Douglas R. Schneider, AIA

Founder

Douglas founded Schneider Architectural Works in 2011 with the goal of combining his lifelong experience in construction and his passion for design. Born and raised on Long Island, amongst the country estates of the early 20th century; his passion for classical architecture grew into a desire to become an Architect. Douglas lives on Long Island’s North Shore with his wife, two children and two Golden Retrievers. He and his family enjoy spending weekends and holidays at their farm in the Catskills and with family in South Florida.

 

Adriana Amendolara, AIA

Associate

Adriana grew up on Long Island’s North Shore and received her Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Since joining the firm in 2019; Adriana, a licensed architect, has worked on renovation projects and new homes in Sands Point, Upper Brookville & East Hills. Her expertise in lighting design brings another layer of refinement to every project. She resides on Long Island with her husband and two daughters.

 

Reid Hetzel

Architectural Designer

Reid holds a Master of Architecture Degree from The University at Buffalo. Having studied in Europe, he applies a cultured and classical design aesthetic to his projects.

 

Ruby Tirone

Aspiring Architect

Ruby brings a passion for design and a knowledge of construction drawings to the team. She creates many of the 3-d models and digital renderings for the firm’s projects.

Ann Johnnidis

Office Administrator

Ann joined the firm with the goal of assisting the firm’s leadership with all things Architecture & Design!

She brings years of administrative experience; as well as, organization to the office. She spends her time outside the office studying computer science and web development.
